HIMALAYA - THE MIRACLE WELL

Water has inexplicably appeared in what was thought to be a dry and useless well, after a missions building project was nearly abandoned due the logistical difficulties in continuing construction work without a reliable water source.

Robert Singh, Evangelist and founder of Jesus Loves Gospel Ministries, says that they had built the well hoping to find water, but after excavating more than 250 feet, the well was still dry and they did not have enough money to dig further or try to dig elsewhere. “We were totally discouraged and with deep sorrow in our hearts, had decided to desert this well. But one day, as I was praying at the well and wondering what to do, I suddenly noticed that there was a good 15 feet of water in the well! I do not know where it came from – the well had been dry for weeks! God heard our cry. Praise the Lord!”

Autumn Rain International purchased this small block of land for Jesus Loves Gospel Ministries nearly 7 years ago, in hopes of one day building a home and missions base for the Singh family and their team of Gospel workers. In 2006, an anonymous donor sent money to enable construction of a dwelling to commence on the land. Yet the project was thwarted with opposition from jealous neighbours who blocked the only water supply, a nearby stream, and prevented road access to the property. The failed well-digging operation seemed like yet another expensive and disheartening set back.

Now, a strong foundation has been completed, which will allow for a second storey to be built on the house in future. Autumn Rain International are now joining Robert and Jesus Loves Gospel Ministries in praying for the USD$10,000 required to complete the construction to lock-up stage.

Mr. Singh shared, “After seeing the Lord’s mercy towards us in providing water for us out of fry rock, we know that Jehovah Jireh will supply all our needs, and this house will be used for His Kingdom and His glory.”
